This photo (by no means one of my best), is over 14 years old. It was taken in 1992, when the whole clan trooped down to Florida to celebrate my grandparents' 45th anniversary. It was a trip I remember fondly. Warmly. Nostalgically.
That was a party filled with nostalgia. I learned things about my grandparents and mother's life that I never would have guessed.
Unable to withstand the temptation, we took a day at Walt Disney World, too. Main Street, USA is awash in nostalgia, cleaned up Disney style, with bright, fresh paint and paved streets. It's nostalgia in the most literal sense: showing only the best of what was.
It may not be your best picture, but I like it a lot anyway. And who could blame you for making the side trip to WDW? Family reunions are a bit on my mind today - there was an NPR commentary this afternoon about one. It's good that you got togo, and that you remember it fondly. Me, I haven't seen my cousins in 30 years or so!
ReplyDeleteHey :)
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing pics of Disneyland, and it was a cute one you posted. Family Reunions are great. Good Job!
That would have been a trip to remember- a family reunion and Disney!
ReplyDeleteNice entry! Back in '92, I still had a Kodak 110 instamatic!
